5 July 1917 – Sets sail from Malta

DIARY: 1am picked up hook and proceeded to sea escorted by Geranium and Companula along with other ship.

diary-023James mentions leaving with HMS Geranium and we think the other ship is HMS Campanula, which we know was in Malta, at the time.  She was launched in December 1915 and scrapped in Malta in 1922.
