28 March 1917 – No news

This is just to let you know that James did not seem to write any letters or diary for these few days.

He next wrote on Friday 31 March, so that will be when his next post will reach you and from then on, he has something to say most days.  It would seem that either some of his letters from this week are missing, or that his enthusiasm for letter writing had dwindled a bit from his days of training at Crystal Palace, in the Autumn of 1916.
